PicoDocs (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the PicoDocs mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a safe, transparent, and private user experience.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use PicoDocs. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Local Document Processing

PicoDocs is designed so the contents of your documents and photos stay on your device.

• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, register, or provide any personal details (such as email, name, or phone number) to use the App.
• On-Device Files: All operations—including making passport photos, converting images to PDF, compressing PDFs, and scanning documents—are performed locally on your mobile device.
• No PicoDocs Cloud Uploads: Your photos, files, and generated documents are stored in your device’s local filesystem. PicoDocs does not upload their contents to a PicoDocs server. Advertising and store services process the limited data described below.

2. Third-Party Services (Advertising)

PicoDocs is a free, ad-supported App. To serve advertisements, we integrate the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK.

Data Collected by AdMob

To display appropriate ads, Google AdMob may automatically collect and use certain device information, including:

• IP address (used to estimate general location/country)
• Advertising ID (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA)
• Mobile device identifier or device model
• App usage data and performance diagnostics (to track ad impressions and clicks)

This data is processed by Google and may be used to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements, measure performance, limit ad frequency, provide analytics, and combat fraud. Where required, PicoDocs requests advertising consent before requesting ads. Premium users are not shown ads.

3. Subscriptions

Weekly, monthly, and yearly PicoDocs Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play or Apple. PicoDocs does not receive full payment-card details. The store returns product, purchase, receipt, and subscription-status information needed to activate or restore Premium. Store data is handled under the applicable Google Play or Apple terms and privacy policy.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

All documents and files created in PicoDocs are saved inside your device’s local storage.

• User Control: You can view, share, or delete any generated asset at any time via the “Files” section in the App.
• Clearing App Data: Uninstalling PicoDocs or clearing the App’s storage via your device settings will delete locally saved documents and settings. We do not keep PicoDocs cloud backups.
• Advertising Controls: Users can review applicable advertising privacy choices from PicoDocs Settings and can reset or delete the Android advertising ID through device settings.
• Store Records: Subscription and transaction records are retained and controlled by Google Play or Apple according to their policies and legal obligations.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not target and are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information to Google AdMob through the App, please contact us or review Google’s policy options for children’s accounts.

6. Regional Privacy

PicoDocs provides Google’s consent-management flow where required for advertising in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Depending on your region, you may also have rights concerning access, deletion, correction, or restriction of personal data. Document contents remain under your control on your device. Requests concerning data processed directly by Google or Apple may need to be made through their privacy controls.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any updates.
