Terms of Service

Welcome to PicoDocs! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PicoDocs mobile application (the “App”) provided by PicoDocs (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using PicoDocs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

PicoDocs is a mobile document utility application providing features including:

  • Passport Photo Maker: Creation of photos formatted to specified dimensions.
  • Image to PDF Converter: Converting image files into local PDF documents.
  • PDF Compressor: Compressing PDF files locally on your device.
  • Doc Scanner: Scanning physical documents and applying image enhancements.
  • Local Storage & Management: Managing generated files stored directly on your device.

2. On-Device Local Processing

  • Local Operations: All document processing, photo resizing, PDF conversions, and image enhancements occur locally on your device.
  • No Account Required: PicoDocs does not require registration, login credentials, or user accounts.
  • User Data Responsibility: We do not upload your document or photo content to our servers. You are solely responsible for backing up, managing, and securing the files created or processed using the App.

3. Disclaimers & Accuracy of Generated Documents

  • Passport & ID Photos: PicoDocs provides templates and tooling to help format photos. Official photo guidelines (dimensions, background colors, facial expressions, margins) vary by country, government agency, and document type.
  • User Verification: You must independently verify that any photo or document produced using PicoDocs meets the official requirements of the relevant authority or agency before submission. PicoDocs is not responsible for document rejections or processing delays by third parties or government authorities.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

PicoDocs offers optional Premium features available via auto-renewing subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) or single consumable purchases.

  • Billing: Payments and billing are processed directly through your store account (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). Store pricing and currency will be confirmed by the store before purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period in your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings.
  • Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellation of a subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. All refund requests, billing inquiries, and transaction disputes are handled exclusively through Google Play or Apple in accordance with their respective refund policies.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

  • App Rights: PicoDocs, including its design, interface, code, graphics, and trademarks, is protected by intellectual property laws and remains the property of PicoDocs.
  • User Content: You retain full ownership of all photos, documents, and files you scan, convert, or generate using the App.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful, illegal, or fraudulent activity.
  • Attempt to bypass or modify any digital rights management or subscription controls within the App.

7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties

  • “AS IS” Basis: PicoDocs is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • No Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, PicoDocs and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from lost files, corrupt documents, store rejections, or device failures.

8. Third-Party Services & Advertising

The free version of PicoDocs integrates third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements. Your interaction with third-party components is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published within the App or repository with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of the App following changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
